“Remove the veil!” is what God said to me this month. What does this mean?

When we arrived back in Lobatse, I saw a book that Ashley Harris was reading. It was the book “The Lineage of Grace” which are the stories of AMAZING woman from the Bible who not only changed the course of history through their courage but because of the risk they took, they became a part of Christ lineage. The book had the stories of Tamar, Ruth and Mary (just to name a few). The story of Tamar was called “Unveiled” and I knew I had to read it.

The story of Tamar can be found in Gen. 38… basically, Tamar wants to carry on the name of her husband, Er, by conceiving him a son. But Er dies and so she marries his brother, Onan. Onan also dies because both Er and Onan were wicked in the Lord’s sight. Judah (the father of Er and Onan) is then nervous about having Tamar marry Shelah (the youngest brother) in fear he too might die. So Judah sends her home and tells her to wait til Shelah is old enough.

Tamar goes home and HOPES and WAITS for that day only to find out that Judah wasn’t going to keep his word… the story goes on to her finally conceiving twin sons to Judah… but the part that hit me hard was how she waited patiently.

I am very impatient… and God is calling me to give up control and wait upon Him for everything!

Ecc. 3:1… “To everything, there is a season”

LORD, teach me to wait upon You!

Pray that I will continue to remove the veil and see through His eyes and to open my ears and hear what He wants to teach me.
