Lately, the importance of the parent's roll has been on my mind. It excites me to know that one day I may have my own children. I will watch them grow and learn but what excites me most is teaching them who they are in Christ... to live by example... to leave a legacy!

My parents have had the biggest impact on who I am today and who I want to be tomorrow. My Dad is an amazing man of God. I have never met a man with as mush faith as him. And I know very few men who are willing to lose everything for the sake of knowing Christ. And his strength through hardships blow me away. He loved his bride much like Christ loves his... I see Christ living through him.

My Mom's spirit was always cheerful even when she was sick and dieing. Her faith could and did move mountains. She nurtured and cared for the family like no one else could. She took joy in being a mother and a wife... I saw Christ living through her... she left a legacy.

This month we are doing orphanage ministry. I see this as a opportunity to not just play and laugh with these children but to give them a glimpse of Christ. To show them His love through a hug or a smile. To just sit down and listen. To tell them that they are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and that they are loved beyond belief.
