But this morning….
this morning I had a talk with someone who knows EVERYTHING about love!
1 John 4:8 clears it up perfectly! It simply says, “God is love.“
So everything that applies to God also applies to love!
- God is all powerful!… therefore love is all powerful!
- God sent His son to die for us… therefore love is sacrificial!
- God has no beginning, middle or end… He always was and He will always be… therefore love is eternal!
- God never fails us… therefore love never fails!
- God is all knowing… He knows every sin we have committed and loves us just the same… therefore love is unconditional!
- God is always there… we just need to open our eyes!… therefore love is all around!
Today’s society thinks that marriages aren’t built to last but if you had TRUE LOVE then you know they are built to never fail!
People think I am crazy for thinking that love last forever… but I have seen it!
I have seen it through Christ and I have seen it through other relationships! My Grandpa and Grandma Coffey were happily married for over 50 years before my Grandma passed. But that love continues to strive and grow! My parents were married for almost 30 years before my Mom passed but that love continues in all of us!
And you want to know why? Because they knew what TRUE LOVE is! God (who is love) was and is the centerpoint of those relationships and those lives!
