This summer was AMAZING! I have got to say that it was the best summer yet!
I met the greatest people on earth this summer! I am talking both staff and guest.
I had the opportunity to work with some AMAZING girls! I came into every week thinking that I would impact their lives and every week they impacted mine. They shared stories of pain and stories of joy, they shared tears, laugher and truth.
The fellowship within the staff was also a blessing. I never felt so loved! We hung out, we shared stories, we encouraged one another and we prayed for each other!
I just want to share some thank yous!
Sarah C. ~ what can I say about you girl? You have been a blessing in my life this past year. You were there when I needed someone to talk to and you also entrusted me with what was going on in yours. I loved all the times we hung out either at the house or somewhere off the mountain. I couldn’t bare saying, “bye” to you today and I don’t think I ever could say it! You hold a special place in my heart!
Mandi ~ I love that we are so different yet the same! And I love that you chose to work this summer. It truly wouldn’t have been the same without you! You showed Christ through being a servant and for that I think you deserved “employee of the summer!”
Katy ~ “Florida”… “Sunkist”… whatever your name is! I am glad that you chose to come back out this summer! You brought laughter and unity to the staff. I wish we had more time!
Sara H. ~ You made me laugh all the time and you made me feel loved and beautiful! Thank you! I already miss you girl! I am happy that we co-counseled for this last week because I needed you! We were a great tag-team!
Allye ~ I wasn’t joking when I said that your smile lit up the room! You had a sense about you that just attracted people.
Paul ~ You were fun and crazy! I enjoyed our conversations and hanging out in the coffee shop with all you guys!
Phil ~ I know I am a little wacko at times and so when you showed up, I was excited to know I wasn’t the only wacko yet cool person at camp! LOL! (because some people are just wackos and aren’t cool… but lucky for us! LOL!) Thank you for making me feel better after a lousy day!
Alex ~ The toughest girl I ever had! But girl, you opened my eyes to so much this summer and I am happy that you now know that you are never fatherless! Let your heavenly Father embrace you always!
Jessica (from Fairmount) ~ You thought I would forget you after your week at camp! Girl, I will NEVER forget you! I loved watching as God moved in your life and you were changed! Hold on to the things you learned at camp! I see God doing a great work in you!
Sarah (from Fairmount) ~ what can I say? We bumped heads when you showed up but I never wanted to give up on you! It was great to see that transition in you and to see you switch the way you dealt with your anger. I hope and pray that you hold on to your faith in Christ. And remember, He overcame evil with good and so can you!
