Okay, so I just want to say thank you to all those who have supported me. I wouldn’t be heading out if it wasn’t for you. Please, continue to pray and if you can, support me financially.
I want to personally thank my parents. Mom, even though you are now in heaven, you still are my role model. Daddy, I can’t even begin to describe how much I admire you. You remind me of Ruth (yes, I know she is female) because after Mom died, you went down to Mexico to take care of her parents even after they blamed you for taking Mom off of life support. You remind me of Christ and how He is always there for His bride. You never left Mom’s side and showed unfailing love. I hope to one day meet a man who has the same heart for God and for others as you have. You always tell me how proud you are of me. Well, I want you to know how proud I am of you. I am lucky to call you Daddy!
To my siblings, for putting up with me for 24 years and yet loving me. Berenice, I love having you as my sister and best friend. I miss you! Now, move back to California! Steven, you always pretended to be tough but you have one of the biggest hearts I know. Joshua, you too have a big heart and you are wise beyond your years! To all of you (and your families), thank you for taking me in when you didn’t have to and for being tough on me because you care. Oh yeah, and I plan on getting my license when I get back. (Now you have it in writing.)
Mandi, thanks for pushing me when all I wanted to do was give up. I kept on asking God what He wanted me to do and I would ignore Him when He told me it was the World Race. But you, you pushed me til I said, “Yes!”
To Mike J., Brenda S., Marissa, Katie, Ryan, Michel and anyone else I may have forgotten, thank you for being my cheer leaders the whole way through! You all helped calm my nerves over the past few months.
To my squad and team, I can’t wait to see you all again in a few days! You all have helped calm my nerves as well! I am so excited to spend this next year with you!
