So… last night, all of us girls went to the bars. We went to see what it was like to see those enslaved by prostitution so that we can be set to go out (those who are doing bar ministry) and to pray for those who go out.
I really haven’t felt a tug at my heart to do prostitution ministry and so I prayed and asked God to reveal what He wants for me this month. And though walking through those bars was one of the hardest things I have ever done, I know it isn’t where God wants me… yet! As I walked through I was angry and I was in pain but that is only a tiny portion of the anger and pain God feels for these women. He wants to rescue them and they are searching for freedom but they just haven’t found it. Please pray for my team as they go out and share with these girls freadom! Pray that the Spirit of the Lord goes out with our ladies and pours into these women. “… and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” 2 Cor. 3:17
Also as I walked around, God put somethings on my heart that I need to pray about, so that when the opportunity to go into these places comes back around, I am ready. So pray for me as God is shaping me this month.
Please pray that these women find that through God, they are worth far more than rubies. Pray that they understand that God knows them and yet He still loves them.
What God showed me this morning…
“So many times we fall into sins and they entangle us, they hold us as slaves. We search for freedom, for someone to rescue us. But a lot of times we look in the wrong places and find ourselves as slaves to more. Where is freedom? Freedom is found in Christ! Hosanna! (“LORD, save us”)”
So pray that these women find true freedom!
