So, the other morning, I had the house to myself and was excited to spend some time alone with God. No distractions, just Him and me. And as I opened my heart to what He had to say, all He said was, “I love you!” When He said this, I began to sob. The whole month in the D.R., that was all He said to me and I didn’t understand why. In fact, I was frustrated that this was all I heard from. But in this moment, I was embraced by His love.
I then remembered the time where Jesus reinstated Peter by asking him 3 times, “Do you love Me?” but Peter didn’t really understand what Jesus was asking and he got frustrated that Jesus asked him repeatedly. I realized in that moment that God loves me more than I could ever understand.
And as I sat crying, I poured out my heart on paper and would like to share my poem with you.
Captured By His Love Captured by His love. Resting in His arms. This is where I feel alive. This is where I feel at home.
He simply says, “I love you.”
And it fills my heart with joy.
His love embraces me,
Never to let go.
His love is perfect.
His love is strong.
