So, last night God asked me out on a date. I was to be on the roof by 5am to watch the sunrise. I wanted to make sure I was on time and so I went up there at 4:50am.
I watched as the moon’s reflection lit up the entire sky. It reminded me of how we are to be the moon (light) in this dark world. We are supposed to reflect the light of the sun (son) and bring light to a dark and lost world.
God and I shared some fun moments with my camera (He knows how much I love photography and how much more I love His creation). I got to watch the sunrise and as I watched, I listened to Jon Foreman’s “Your Love Is Strong.” It was such a beautiful scene and I began to cry!
Then, God asked me to turn off the iPod and sing to Him my own song. I sang from my heart about His love, His light, His glory and about how marvelous He is. He then asked me to write Him a song…. That’s for a later blog to come!
